Have you ever sat in a window seat, looked out at the lights fading away fast and cried at what you are leaving behind – parents, kids, a loved one? And then wiped away those tears -embarrassed – thinking you don’t want anyone to see you? Do not be ashamed for being human and having a heart and a soul. That’s the most beautiful thing you have.
Hold those hands when they are still warm and around
Say those words when they still have a meaning and make a difference
Else all you will be left with is cold walls and tombstones
That cannot hear anything nor can be held close.
Bridges, oh bridges
We come across in our lifetimes.
Some bridges, oh bridges, we cannot wait to go across
And other bridges we never, never want to get on.
Some bridges, we burn to cinders and ashes and still smile
And to some bridges, no matter what, we always return.
Some bridges take us to worlds so new and unseen
And some take us away from all we have known.
Some bridges we want to walk on hand in hand with someone
And some bridges fall to pieces when that someone is gone.
Bridges, oh bridges, in our lifetimes we cross.
