Bridges, oh bridges
We come across in our lifetimes.
Some bridges, oh bridges, we cannot wait to go across
And other bridges we never, never want to get on.
Some bridges, we burn to cinders and ashes and still smile
And to some bridges, no matter what, we always return.
Some bridges take us to worlds so new and unseen
And some take us away from all we have known.
Some bridges we want to walk on hand in hand with someone
And some bridges fall to pieces when that someone is gone.
Bridges, oh bridges, in our lifetimes we cross.
